Residenza San Celso welcomes its first guests
In via Don Gnocchi, adjacent to Via Novara, the Residenza San Celso (Mons. Bicchierai 1) finally opened in mid-June, welcoming semi- and non-self-sufficient elderly people. Numerous families have asked for information in recent months and have patiently awaited the Authorization of the ATS Milano and Regione Lombardia to open this latest generation RSA.
Residenza San Celso (Mons. Bicchierai 1) can accommodate 120 elderly people who are mainly accommodated in expertly furnished single rooms (96 singles with minibar provision and 12 doubles) all equipped with medical gases, having at their disposal large and comfortable lounges to carry out entertainment activities, socialize and meet family and friends; all in pleasant environments thanks to quality materials and finishes.
Residenza San Celso is equipped on the first floor with a controlled unit, with a dedicated terrace, suitable for hosting people with dementia or behavioral disorders who require to be welcomed and assisted in safety and in a specifically dedicated unit. While, on the fourth floor there is an elite unit of 20 beds with two finely furnished suites equipped with a private living room, large and bright bedroom, and a large terrace. There are also four junior suites, spacious and equipped with a private terrace. This is something unique for the city of Milan because it is aimed at a certainly very demanding public who wishes to continue to have certain comforts even in less than optimal health conditions.
The property was built with cutting-edge “green” construction technologies, implementing design choices aimed at energy saving. The presence of a photovoltaic and geothermal system, combined with the use of highly insulating materials, allows for significant energy efficiency, significantly reducing the environmental impact. The RSA is equipped with cutting-edge home automation systems in terms of emergency calls and remote control of the various residential units. All the rooms are extremely bright thanks to the large windows down to the floor, which allow wheelchair users to easily enjoy an external view.
Residents of the RSA will have the opportunity to have lunch in the dining room on the floor or in the large restaurant on the ground floor, where they can also host their friends and relatives for lunch. They will also have private lounges available for lunches or private conversations. The meals are prepared by our chef who has extensive experience in catering and who will spoil the residents with delicious dishes, always respecting the diets they will have to follow. In addition to the internal kitchen for greater quality and freshness of the dishes, the structure is equipped with a modern and efficient laundry for washing the clothes of its residents.
Furthermore, the Residenza San Celso (Mons. Bicchierai 1) has an underground car park with 60 spaces and a dozen spaces for motorbikes available to staff and visitors, as well as a pleasant garden that extends along the entire perimeter of the building, some equipped terraces that can be used in the summer, as well as two winter gardens that can be enjoyed in all seasons.
